I can't say where I work, but I work with the elderly and disabled. A kind of social work in a way, just without the home visits and crisis counseling.

Reader1– I was a nurse for 44 years.. I graduated from high school a week before my 17th birthday and moved to a dormitory at County USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. I loved every single second of it. I always thought someone would figure out how much they were paying me to do my favorite hobby. I was so blessed.

My thanks to you all. I've had many a doctor I wanted to toss out the hospital window, but never a nurse. My 80 year old father had surgery yesterday and the nurses were fabulous. He's a bit of a frequent flyer and they remembered him and welcomed him to the unit. It made him more relaxed.
