I confess - Diablo is inspiring me as I continue to lean out. Over 2 years in, and Weights, Resistance Training, Yoga, and a wee bit of cardio are still paying off. Admittedly, there is a 4 lb difference between the middle and last pic. I was 139 lbs in the middle one. As most know, I usually sit at about 135-136 lbs these days. But, it sure is nice to see the hard work pay off. We open the pool today, so we'll be adding that into the mix in the next 2 weeks along with a new pair of stability bars so I can practice L sits, tri-cep dips, and inverted rows. #Wedon'tquit :-)

Thank you, everyone! It reminds me of that saying, "Motivation comes after you do the work!" @Jopenn- the only macro I focus on is protein. And, I try to get in around 135 grams/day on average or .7 to 1 gram per/lb. of my weight. I let the other macros sit where they will. And, frankly at the level of intensity I'm working out, it's likely this body might gas out or max out on energy if I kept carbs at 5% or lower. I've been a CICO gal since the beginning & am continuing to go that route since I've hit goal and been in maintenance for 9 months now. As it stands, I need to get some extra carbs in, so Thursday is veggie pizza day for me.

@Wifey - Love & Hugs to you as well and thank you for the support and encouragement! My Coach always says, "Losing Weight is Hard. Maintaining Weight is Hard. Staying Overweight is Hard. Choose your Hard." You can definitely say becoming strong, vital, and lean to the greatest measure of this body's health is the hard I am choosing :-)

I love what your coach says. I never thought of it like that. I think I'm going to stick with it this time but I'm also nervous to not just take it week by week or month by month. You're an inspiration for sure and I didn't know you were battling other things...all the more impressive!

That’s a beautiful phrase Egull, I love it! Makes me think of a thing. I was lucky to spend a fortnight at my brother’s place 6 months ago, and I “borrowed” his coach so I could fine tune my workouts (thanks bro, I love you, that was a wonderful Christmas gift 🎁 ). We were talking abs at one point and the guy said “hey, the best ab exercise is 5-6 sets of stop eating so much crap 6 days/a week. So don’t worry, stick to this philosophy and get at least 3 proper workouts with that, it’s actually not a rocket science. Motivation and mental clarity, my dear”.

@Davidsprincess, feel free just to take it a day at a time. Do you know on average, I only lost .7-.8 lbs/month. Per my coach's suggestion, I made sure to fit in 2 maintenance days/week, and every 10 weeks, I took a week long maintenance break just to practice maintaining the weight I was at. Did it take longer? Of course it did, but it's also 9 months after I hit goal and I can still wear all the clothes in my closet. And, just as essential I understand how to maintain a sustainable weight range for the long term. In short, take as long as you need. And, thank you D! You have def been a help and an inspiration, because I know it's hard work to get that kind of physique and it doesn't happen overnight. But, you show us with patience, perseverance, and consistency - it is possible to do things we never thought were possible :-)
