This was my total before going to the gym. I went higher carbs today to see if I would get more energy. It didn't work. I felt sluggish after 1hr of weights.

I keep carbs pretty low as well and I’ve noticed a longer full and sluggish feel too after a day of higher than my norm. All that being said I often read about a need for more carbs than I’m consuming and plan to increase carbs in the plan somewhere.

I'll have to play around with my macros. I need to give the carbs another few tries since there are other variables today (17 degrees & gloomy and I forgot that I only got 5hrs sleep last night).

amazing how different people's bodies function with different macros. I feel fantastic at 500 + grams of carbs

Yea I was at 500g of carbs, at 186lbs. When I did a cut and drop to around 250g I instantly lost reps and had to drop the weights. That’s when I realize I did not like steep deficits 😂

Maybe it’s more of meal timing. The more the complex the carbs the longer it takes to digest, including proteins.... I think 2hrs before you workout. That’s why preworkout foods are simple carbs, it’s high gi. Easily digestible carbs so it won’t sap your energy for digestion during your workout

I felt pretty good today at the gym. 233c, 190p, 58f. I'm actually pretty low on calories for 5pm.

It's actually much worse today. It is currently 0 degrees. It will be -8 with -20 windchill when the girls go to school in the morning. Blah.
