I had an amusing morning. On weekdays, I go to the gym at 5 am. The classes are 30 minutes, high-intensity weight training w/ cardio. Long story short, they kick my butt. But I've been doing them for several months now, and have seen huge increases in my strength and endurance.
The class is full of all body types, some very thin, some larger, and everywhere in between. It's mostly women. But even those of us with extra padding hiding our muscles do great. The hardest working/strongest woman in our class is at least 20 lbs heavier than me. That woman is incredible.
Anyways, we had a new, insanely cocky guy in our class this morning (think he was one of the girl's boyfriends). He had the skinny-fat body type. During the overview of the excersizes we would be doing today, he was rolling his eyes, making scoffing noises and sarcastic comments.
We did our warmups then went into a couple rounds of burpees followed by kettle-bell swings. He ran outside and vomited after the third round. I don't think he'll be back, lol!!
I just found it funny how judgmental some people can be, based on someone's appearance. Just because myself and some members of my class have excess fat, doesn't mean we don't work hard.
Great motivation for the week for me :)
