I bought the Barrilla red lentil spaghetti and had it tonight with homemade pasta sauce. The red lentil pasta was ok, I would eat it again. But here is the deal.. all of the macros were essentially the same except for protein. The red lentil pasta had 14 grams in 2 ounces and the regular Barilla whole grain had 8 grams. So the red lentil pasta costs about 1.5 times as much for 4 ounces less. For me it doesn’t make much difference but if you are feeding a family of 4-5 is it worth the price difference? Not in my book. California prices.

Thanks for the comparative nutritional information on the healthier red lentil spaghetti option. I’ve haven’t been shopping the pasta section in a while.

I have wondered about the other types of pasta. Not eating much pasta these days but am getting tired of eating the same things and am experimenting.
