LOL. Th question for me to hubby is who fed your cancer? I begged him for years to cut back on the sugar and processed meats. Didn't listen.

it seems that that is the first thing many oncologists seem to tell their patients upon diagnosis— no sugar. It’s possible that is based on the DNA of the cancer, I’m not an oncology nurse, but it seems to be a common theme

Kenna, per the canine oncologist we saw, some types of cancers thrive on carbs so we adjusted Sadie’s diet for years to slow their growth and it worked for quite a long time - until it didn’t. Someone will take that out of context, but it was a UC Davis vet specializing in the cancer dogs. She was on high lean protein, low carb diet. I know it doesn’t translate over exactly, but I’m sure it’s similar line of thought.

I know of someone (peripherally) whose prostate cancer came back and he says he is done. He doesnt want treatment. He doesnt want to give up his high sugar and fat diet and continues to have a drink pretty regularly. I think hes in his 70s. Has a high quality life with a loving partner just doesnt have the desire or willpower to go thru it again.

I've also read that cancer feeds on sugar, cut the sugar out & it starves 🤷‍♀️ I do know that shortly after my uncle was diagnosed, they ran a test on him to see where they needed to put the radiation. They hooked him up to a bag of glucose before the test. When I asked the nurse why they did that, she said it makes the cancerous cells light up on the scan.

I didn’t think I was hooked on sugar until I tried to cut back. Sugar makes you hungry.
