Hi! I'm still figuring out my macros and after 3 weeks of exercise I finally decided my formal goal is to lose fat. I think my previous goals of 180carb, 150protein, 60fat made me gain weight even though calories are weight reducing and i did lose fat on a %basis. I'm switching to 140carb, 140protein, 50fat. This seems more feasible anyway because I don't want to have to force down food just to hit these goals when it doesn't feel good. Anyone have thoughts?

That sounds so technical. How to you keep track of each of the required amounts? I've found that it's easier to make healthier eating choices and stick to proper portions. Coupled with regular exercise weightloss is steady (at least for me). Counting macros just seems mentally exhausting.

it depends on what doesn't feel good. I find that eating a nice ribeye loaded with fat is far more satisfying and goes down better than carbs. so it is all what your body tells you it wants. If you work out a lot especially weight lifting I agree you will need the protein. I think dropping the carbs down will help lose fat. along with eating under your rdi.
