Amazing that the rose bud hung on this long - a testimony to your skills here in the PNW. I always feel like the hummers that stick around in the winter here are kind of incredible.

Thank you so much for feeding the hummingbirds Melissa! I do it here at home and it never gets that cold as where you are at and sometimes here they seem desperate, so thank you!
Such perfect pictures - they are just absolutely great!
Chris is a crack up!😁

Thanks, guys! We ended up with close to a foot of snow so far. We are totally snowed in. This little bird looks miserable, but they fluff up to keep warm. (Chris, dear, she would not be happy with a jacket! 😁 I've had as many as four tiny hummers fighting over one of my feeders today. They are so feisty! It is a lot of effort keeping the juice thawed during these cold days. But freezing temperatures only lasts a few days a year. I'm in and out several times a day bringing the feeders in to replace their food. Totally with it! ❤️I wish the brilliant green would show up in those picture. They are like little, tropical jewels misplaced in a winter wonderland! 😁

My feeder is frozen over. I need to clean the other one and start swapping them out! Poor hummers I've neglected them this morning. I better get on it! Have a great day Melissa!!! Stay warm and toasty!!!

Thanks, 🐻! Your birds will be happy for a drink! br_e_co, they are Anna's hummingbirds. Because our temps are quite mild most of the time, this particular variety stays here year round. They manage in the winter by eating tiny gnats and the "nector" folks provide in feeders. It gets a bit desperate for then when the temperatures drop this low, but they manage with a little help! 😁 They are very special! I'll post a rather poor and fuzzy picture of a male I snapped outside my window a little over a week ago.
