Follow on entry with lessons learned. I ran my military physical test last Thursday. I actually did very well - So it proved that my work out routine was on track with where I wanted to be for the test. It didn't relieve any of the pre test anxiety that I seem to always have. the interesting part is that my run times was 1 minute and 50 seconds faster than last year. I woke up on Friday with my quad, groin and glutes muscles super tight and sore. I was really struggling to figure out why I was hurting so bad - I am not this sore after a workout. It dawned on me Saturday while I was hobbling around that I sprinted the last lap and I really pushed hard. I forgot to stretch after the run...I routinely stretch after all my work outs. So My lesson learned...Stretch after every workout.

You are doing really good, Tahoebrun! Stretching gets a pass from a lot of us; something I need to learn from my wife, who is pretty faithful about it.
