water weight dropping due to absence of carbs ergo insulin which is anti-diuretic. tired as well as withdrawal kicks in. struggling to eat enough as well, though I'm full, which is also contributing to fatigue.

I think you are confusing diabetes with diabetes insipidous. Diabetes insipidous involves the overproduction of anti-diuretic hormone. Insulin and carbohydrates have nothing to do with body water balance.

I mis-wrote. Diabetes insipidous is the Underproduction of anti diuretic hormone (ADH, vasopressin) which results in high volumes of dilute urine. It is most often the result of pituitary tumors. Again, insulin and carbohydrate metabolism are completely separate processes.

are you drinking tons of water?? taking any electrolytes?? when you are passing a lot of water you need both to avoid fatique and to get enough calories to fuel yourself. generally that is by adding some healthy fats. What diet are you doing??

I looked at your only food entry lately, you eat like that all the time?? that is a lot of calories and protein for a diet plan. do you work out?? I have seen heavy lifters eat that much to maintain and fuel their workouts.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm not confusing any sort of diabetes as I've never had diabetes. Having done keto and cyclical keto in the past, I know cutting sugar results in a few days of extra voiding. Insulin causes changes to the kidneys which signals the body to retain sodium (no secret insulin sickness destroys the kidneys) which causes retention. If you can't research this, have a hot fudge Sunday and see how long before you need to chug some water. As per calories, I'm actually supposed to get 3300 per day to lose 1.8 lbs per week... If you buy that weak science. A decade ago I got so sick I couldn't eat for a few months. As I gradually was able to eat again, I was able to gain 10 lbs per week on under 750 calories/day. Sorry CICO followers. My main concern is that I'm going to be unable to eat enough and be tired.

I am on keto and I am not diabetic, I did not mention anything about that. I was first concerned that you were tired and hungry. You did not mention keto just low carbs. Normally when someone is hungry and tired on any diet it is the lack of enough food. Or lack of hydration, even regular dieters can suffer from not drinking enough water. then I went to check your food diary and only saw one day which was quite high on food. so yes,,,, I don't understand feeling hungry on that much food. I try to be helpful. sorry you seem to be very sensitive when I was just trying to be some form of support. amazing that you could gain years ago on 750 calories. but today you have concerns that you can not gain on a high calorie diet?? I thought you were looking to lose. sorry I am confused. and sorry again if something was said to upset you. there are a lot of keto people here and some that are also in maintenance. so either way you are trying to go, I am sure someone will be able to help you.

@basking... I was responding to another commenter as well who mentioned diabetes. I don't get offended from anything, and only sensitive to gluten 😁. As for electrolytes, I use a ton of salt. It was actually a recommendation from an EP cardiologist because I generally have low BP. I'm experimenting with something new for me that I called BS a few months ago... Just like I did with Paleo, keto, fasting, etc in the past. Specifically, I'm researching how to promote mTor in the muscle while inhibiting it in the liver in presence of insane amounts of animal protein. Lost more water weight overnight despite drinking a lot of H2O and song salt (291.3 this am). Amazing what cutting carbs does. Also, thank you again for feedback and sorry for the confusion.
