Hi FS Community- I have a weird question. When I eat a dish of ice cream at night, or some other fatty foods (last night I ate subs with meat and oil), I find that I lose weight by the next morning. Not a lot, but like 0.5 lbs. The body fat indicator on the scale also shows me a lower bf% than the previous day or night. This happens on 2 different scales.
Am I crazy? Is this possible? I have been tracking macros and calories with no real results, but when I go off script I actually lose. Should I have a higher fat intake?

Maybe because you're consuming fewer carbs and more protein with the fat? I'm not a nutritionist and not at all sure, but I know that that if I consume more protein, I tend to shed weight more easily.

Try looking up "carbs burning fat at night" or to some effect like that. I have ran into some studies where eating carbs later before bed actually revs up fat burning. Sounds stupid, but it has happened to me recently..and I am still doing it at least after I work out at night.
