Diario di CCM93, 16 lug 10

I second guessed my self, so I got on the scale again. I didn't lose anything significant, but I am officially under the two hundred mark. It was great to see that old-fashion scale plummet, when I got on that scale, as if saying "You're not that fat!" I'm at 199 point something, and am excited to keep it going!

It killed me the day I went to the doctor. I was sick with a horrible cold, and once I got on that scale and it said "203". I was shocked. I guess that was the moment I said, "I'm going to change this!" I quickly found a goal to look forward to (my dress) and once summer started, I was on my way. I almost quit any hope of losing weight, but then I was like, "Let's try moderating our food, see what happens" Obviously that was the problem. lol.

Congratulations for getting below that 200 lb mark! That IS a big deal and I hope you celebrate that. I think your goals are really reasonable. And I think you'll be surprised at how quickly your waist measurement will change, too. But if you want your hips to go fast, too, and you don't want to end up with loose skin and hanging fat, you may want to work out, too. I read this book by the doctor from the Biggest Loser show and he claims walking, though GREAT exercise for your heart, isn't a good fat-burning exercise, and that it's fine to maintain weight-loss, but not a good way to get there. But again, you're a kid and probably lose weight a LOT easier than I do! My daughter is a bit older than you and she only has to watch what she eats. But she's now at the point where she's afraid if she loses more without working out, she'll not like what she's left with and is finally considering working out :) Whatever path you choose, I wish you a lot of luck! This is a great site if you utilize it - keeping yourself accountable by inputing your food daily, recording journals and keeping in touch with your buddies. It ALL helps :)

I'm doing walk away the pounds. Leslie Sansone incorporates strength training into it with simple exercises other than contemporary walking for the lower body, and I use the stretchie band for the upper body. I can feel the stretchie band working too! I want to get the other piece of equipment and use her abs system. May sometime...
