Last week, two days after my holiday weekend of off eating, I snagged my toe on a swinging door and mostly ripped off my big toenail. This has slowed me down. I'm not walking well. Between this and the extreme heat my usual hours of gardening have been reduced to a short hobble out to pick flowers and produce and water seedlings. Read this as no exercise. Between the pain and the no exercise, I've been a bit blue and undisciplined in the food department. I missed my end of the month mini-goal. The good news is that I've lost the holiday weekend gain, so I'm ready to start in on a new downward drop in weight. Also, the toe is getting less painful. I'm heading off on another special weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. We're going to the Newport Jazz festival following a visit to the new grandchild, so this gives me something fun to look forward to. Happy new month!
