What's with the "All or nothing" mentality?
Faced some opposition while on my cruise, where a friend called me out on drinking black coffee while fasting. Her argument was along the lines of "what's the point in fasting if you're going to ruin it by drinking something unhealthy like coffee".
To me, that is the absolute worst attitude I could have towards my journey. I have to believe that every good thing I do counts, otherwise I'd go on a mad binge every time I ate anything that wasn't a green vegetable.
I just don't understand why some people, who are actually beautiful people, insist on telling you what they think you're doing wrong when I think any self-improvement attempts should be rewarded, whether they align totally with how "you would do it" or not.
