I realized yesterday that i only use journal when I am sick or tired and stressed out and cannot sleep at night. I never write anything when I am happy. So when I read it, it feels like nothing good ever happened. But it does all the time. May be it is because I do not really like to type on iPad. Still I would rather write about nice days as well.
Today was a wonderful day, warm, sunny, perfect. I finished one of my assignments early and decided that I am not in the mood for another one. We went for a walk in a wildlife preserve instead. It was gorgeous. We saw four wild turkeys, a baby rabbit, a young deer, a snake, several lizards, and a mole. I've never seen a mole before, only in the pictures. It was tiny, may be it was a baby too. I tried to make pictures with my iPhone, but they camouflage so well, you can bearly notice them in the pictures.
My legs feel so much better now that I do not carry those 5 lb of water around my ankles. So I pushed DH to take the upper trail, and we had a nice 7.5 miles walk up and down the hills.
We stopped by at the farm. Luna the cow had a new calf two months ago. It is a girl, they named her Roxie. They also had 3 baby goats and two lambs that were all born on the same day a week ago. They must have been busy that day. The baby goats were running and playing like puppies. So funny. The piglets have grown up, they are almost 3 months old now and do not run around any more like they did when they were babies. It is nice to see something besides computers on a weekend. I am so glad I am done with my Saturday class.
In the end I was so tired, but happy we went out. We stopped at the market on the way home and bought fresh vegetables, fruit and berries. I had yogurt with fresh strawberries for dinner. It is interesting that i never feel hungry when i walk, only when I sit at the desk. In the office I feel famished after a few hours of work, and here I burnt so many calories and did not feel any hunger at all.
And i did not do the second assignment, and do not regret it, even though it means that I have to do it tomorrow.
