Oh so fat today. How does one put on four pounds in three days? Without eating something tempting like pizza or enchiladas or something. I DID finally have that Subway sandwich I've been craving. No mayo, no oil and vinegar, no sauces, tons of veggies. BUT, it does have a lot of meat on it - like deli meat stuff, so I'm sure there's a lot of sodium. BUT HOLY COW! So screw it, I'm NOT recording that weight because there can't be any basis in reality to it, right?

No news on tests...well, blood work came back "okay" apparently. Stupid rude girl at the desk, I'm SO over this place. Anyway, big mess, no results on the mammo yet, but they also sent the mammo order to the wrong place, so when the called for the results, they told ME I didn't go for my test. I told THEM they faxed it to the wrong place, thank God I had a hard copy of the order with me. Told them REPEATEDLY the name of the place, address, a number, etc. and they STILL managed to screw it up. So hopefully I will hear something tomorrow, although the THIRD person to call me from the office today told me I wouldn't have results for TWO WEEKS. I basically told her she was nuts, and that I'd expect the PA to call the CORRECT place tomorrow and let me know if they've reviewed them or not. Shit...no WONDER I HATE going to the doctors so much! This certainly didn't change my outlook. I will say, however, the place I had the mammogram done was excellent with great people. So that was good. I still won't do one annually - way too much radiation. But I guess you do what you have to do. Anyway, thanks buddies for your well-wishes. I'm sure it'll be clear, too. But most of you know the aggravation and the doubts that creep in once you finally have the test done... you just want results NOW! :)

No, there can be no basis in reality in that weight!! As for the doctor, I agree. They can be so incompetant! Hope it's all straightened out and that you get your results in a timely manner! And I am sure that the results are going to be jus fine!

Morning RWL, Its Friday and I so hope you get your results today. I'm sorry you are having such a bad experience with your doctor's office. Advice - please let the doctor know his staff are rude and incompetent. I work in a doc's office and feedback is important. Sometimes people are just having a bad day BUT there is no excuse for rudeness or incompetence. Mistakes get made all the time but its important that they are caught and rectified. There is no way you should have to wait over the week-end for mamogram result. So gird your loins and call them again and don't take no for an answer. And do tell the doc, he/she is their boss, their meal ticket, and only he can change their attitude. I always try to treat patients like family becuase they are somebodies mother/father/brother/sister. I do have my days, but most of the patients realize its just that -a day - and for the most part they can count on me to be there for them. That's what you should expect, no more no less. If it wasn't for patients, we wouldn't have jobs. LOL. sorry for going on. Hope you get the best news - that you have lovely healthy boobs.!

Morning, ctlss! Yeah, I agree...it HAS to be something like water weight. Even I can't eat THAT much! Down 1.8 today from yesterday's. Better, but still a far cry from that oh-so-lovely 120 something! :D Soon, I believe that! I'll be calling the doc's office soon. Thanks again for your support!

Sarahsmum... Thank you for your thoughts on this! I do agree... the doctors there SHOULD know how their front desk people are coming across. If it had been ONE of the phone calls, or ONE incident of what FEELS like rudeness, I'd let it slide. After all, I have more than MY share of those days, myself. The one girl at the desk - seems to be just the WAY she speaks, not even necessarily WHAT she says, you know? I was talking to my son about it and he thought I was too sensitive or reading into things, but I really think I should talk to the doctors there. How are they to know how patients are treated by them unless someone says something? It's not as though they have time to hang around the front desk area and listen in. I like the way YOU think - treating patients as someone's mother, sister, etc. That probably comes more with age. The two, in particular, that I'm speaking of are probably 20 - 22 yrs of age and possibly don't have the maturity needed to deal with people and sensitive situations. Thanks so much for dropping by. And I WILL be calling them soon! :) Have a great weekend and thanks, I'm praying for HEALTHY boobs! Which, I guess when you think about it, WOULD make them lovely, as well! :D

Sending my positive thoughts to healthy ta ta's to you RWL! :D If you feel as strongly as it sounds, call. Only way change will be made. And being young 20 somethings, we all have to pass that phase. Getting called out on how you act is part of the process of growing up and out of that. You're doing everyone a favor in the end. Think of it like that! I hope you get those results SOON! It's your health-BE STUBBORN! Have a great weekend!

I am in total agreement with Is, you should let the doctor's office know that the girls up front aren't being very polite. And I am quite sure that the "girls" are healthy, lovely, and fine!

YAY!!!!! Boobs are FINE. WHEW... Huge sigh of relief! And yeah, once the euphoria wears off, I'll probably address the issue with the front desk!

Good to hear "Thelma and Louise" are doing good! Woo hoo to healthy boobs!
08 ott 10 da utente: Junebug7210
Well, apparently ta-ta's wins for usage! I've read ta-ta's so many times over the last couple of days! :D But I kinda like Thelma and Louise, too! ONE of my all time favorite classic chick flicks! Youngbug...YOU'RE TWENTY SOMETHING! Crap, you ARE young... I thought you were 34 or something like that. Twenty something! I have t-shirts older than you! lol... (and I thought MEN had a lot of pet names for their junk)
08 ott 10 da utente: redwinelover
Alright, that is GREAT news, RWL!! And yes youngbug is YOUNG. MAn I wish I could be that young again! lol NOt really, I wouldn't trade all my life's lessons, but if I could go back and take all my knowledge with me......in a HEARTBEAT!

Nope, I'm about to hit 31. Just saying we are all 20 somethings at some point and though it's a hard pill to swallow getting called on the carpet...that's part of growing pains of your 20's ya know?
08 ott 10 da utente: Junebug7210
And ctlss..I may be younger than some of you but I swear I've always had a few friends my age but hung out with more older (and wiser) buddies. I'd say 95% of my friends are a good 10 years older than me. My gramal always says I have an old soul...whatever that means. :)
08 ott 10 da utente: Junebug7210
Ahh, I understand exactly what your gramal means. Some are born with an old soul, meaning they are mature for their age!

You two just carry on as if I'm not here! :D

Oh, were you lurking in the wings, RWL??? lol

Went away to make some dinner and look what goes on behind my back! lol... Well, tomorrow I will journal... today was just a relief from all these tests recently and believe it or not, I did NOT work out today! Did shop a lot - one of my favorite forms of exercise! More jeans, a couple of tops, a cool iron candle holder. Tomorrow my husband and I are actually going to go hiking! It's been months, I've so missed it. So off to bed, hopefully up and out early (I'm SO not an early person). Like to be back before it's close to 90. Talk to you tomorrow!
