another week, another week of zero loss... ugh. actually it's for way longer than that... i'm doing IF, limiting calories and not seeing results. it is bumming me out big time. i feel like i need to cut calories more but i just really have trouble doing that :/ feels hopeless...

Sometimes when what you are doing isn't working then it's worth looking at other options, just saying. It helped me to change things up.

Holly, I looked at your profile, you and I weigh close to the same thing. I'm 77, lead a sedentary life, eat 1500-1600 calories per day and I am losing weight. I realize we are all different, but sometimes, if your calorie intake is too low, your body goes into starvation mode and resists losing weight. You might try increasing you intake a little to see if that will help. Good luck on your journey and don't give up. Sometimes it just takes a little while to figure out what works for you. 🌈

thanks for the input everyone :) i just took over a week off on vacation and didn't really gain and ate whatever i wanted. i am feeling refreshed and ready to get back at it. i definitely don't think i am anywhere near startation mode - i'm averaging around 1800-1900 calories per day and i am not super active during the work week. it's too hard for me to cut much further for more than a few days so i am really going to try and plan more active things for the weekend and will try to take my dog on longer walks and see if a little more activity is what i need. i was probably eating 2500 calories per day on most of my vacation days but we hiked and walked a lot so it balanced out :) exercise also makes my mood better so i think i will leave my calories alone for the most part and try to burn off a little more. working from home makes it easy for me to only walk a couple thousand steps per day :/
