:( Might as well get all the crying over at once. Well I called. I didn't get the job but "it was a hard decision and I was 2nd choice" He said that if anything falls through then I will be their next choice and have the job. Yep, I cried. Glad the office isn't busy today. I am just so tired of always being second best in everything. That is how I got this job by the way. I was referred here because I was 2nd choice for another position. Gosh, sorry to be such a downer. I am just so disappointed. I'll be okay. There are alot of great jobs out there although in todays economy they are getting hard to find. I need to look at the positives. He said 38 people applied for the position. He interviewed less than 5 people out of the resume's he received and I was in the top two. I am not a loser if I came that close right. Someday something will come along and I will be the top choice. Does anyone have a tissue I can borrow? Yes, that is my little boy I am holding. Isn't he a cutey? He didn't want to be still last night during the girl's christmas program so we played with the camera.

Sorry you didn't get the job. And NO you are not second. You are one of
a kind. There is no one just like you. So that makes you special. Your
time will come and yes out of 38 who applied your were in the top 2. How
awesome is that? And your boy is precious and as sweet as his mama.
Now dry your tears and know your are loved for you. Bren

I am so sorry that the company didn't realize how lucky they would be to have you as an employee! And you are right, something will come along. My babys sis went throught that with her job, and had a job she really wanted, that she didn't get....she was so devastated, then another one came along that ws even better, and she got it with a nice raise also. So hang in there, darlin' girl, you will find just the right job fit for you!

I just had the same thing with a potential, except I didn't even get to an interview, mine was just a call back. I rudely got the stiff then promptly hung up on. Try not to beat you self up over it, love. If you didn't get this job, that means the perfect job is still out there. -hugs-

Thanks everyone. Yall are too sweet. I know I will find a good permanent job soon. Hey I thought this was really cool. I was reading a magazine article during lunch about stem cell and bone marrow donating. I didn't know you could be screened and placed on a donor list for people who need help. You go to marrow.org and they will send you a kit to swab your cheek. If someone sick out there matches you then you can donate your stem cells or marrow to save their lives. I always donate blood and have donated plasma and platelets too. So I joined. I know if it was one of my loved ones that needed help I would pray that they had a match out there so why not see if I can help someone. Work is so slow today. No one is here. You can tell it's almost Christmas. There is food everywhere and no one is working.

Sorry about the job falling through. I know it's really discouraging to get passed up like that. I remember before my husband and I bought our house we had been looking around and found a pretty good looking place. The day we called our agent to put in an offer on the house we were told that the house had been under contract when we were being shown the property. (The selling agent did a poor job of keeping our agent updated prior to our agent showing us the house.) That was a crushing feeling. When that happened things looked dismal. We knew we HAD to find a new place to live asap and the prospects were slim because we don't make six figures and live in an area where a lot of people do. It wasn't until weeks later that we learned of a different place that we were able to buy for less in a better location with more land. I believe that sometimes things take longer because G-d is preparing the right place for us, so we experience disappointment but must not become distraught because abundant provision is often much closer than we realize. Again congrats on the grades! Though you may not feel this way sometimes I think your life demonstrates a lot of success. You have a family, and in addition to working full time you are also going to school. You are triumphantly balancing responsibilities from home, school, and work. That is very impressive! Happy holidays!
