Happy Saturday! The busyness of the holidays has kept me away from updating my food diary or my journal for that matter. Christmas Day was great! Although I did not indulge in starches I most certainly indulged heavily in protein and way beyond my normal. Although I kept things low carb I overshot my normal protein to fat ratio. I definitely did not drink as much water as I should have. One Victory: I did not have any of my mother's famous Christmas cake and I did not feel deprived ... that's a first!

I have not been at home very much except to sleep. In fact, my sleep has continued to be a bit of a mess (I've been up since after 2 am this morning, yesterday I did not get to bed until after 2 am). I am feeling a bit rundown due to my lack of sleep so I've upped my Ester C - perhaps I will take a nap during the day today if I feel like it. TOM is still on the horizon so emotions are all over the place. Since it is clear I am not going back to sleep, I had some raw veggies and a cup of tea. I will use the time to catch up on journals/diary to see how everyone has weathered the Christmas Holidays. I will likely have a weigh-in later today and definitely expect some weight gain from the holidays (I am guessing 2-3 lbs). However, not truly concerned as I am getting back to my normal low carb/high fat eating now and things will fall right back into place.

Good for you on the raw veggies and tea. I have to come up with a good snack alternative - I like that idea. Get yourself some rest - a nap is a good thing! Have a great day, Cheers
