I finally took the time to figure out the exact weight of my kooky add-a-weight barbells. I did it by weighing myself with and without holding them. My maximum weight for lifting (for one weight) is 17.5. It seems weird to have it be an off half-pound like that which makes me wonder if it isn't accurate. But I know I can do bicep curls and shoulder presses with "about" 17 pounds each arm. That's good...right? And it's a significant increase. Lost about 3 pounds of the total of 5 gained during this past week. I knew it was mostly water weight. Looking forward to conquering the last 8 or so pounds in the coming year.
