I am really confused when weighing at home as it is always about 10lbs less then when at docs office...o.0
80,7 kg Perso fino ad ora: 0 kg.    Rimanenti: 12,7 kg.    Dieta seguita: Abbastanza buono.

at home do you weigh yourself naked?? When you go to the Dr you have all your clothes on and what ever you are usually carrying

I notice the same thing, and it might be clothing, or, just that the scales are off a bit. But, I would think its probably a little of both..... Good luck Darlene

I think it's the clothes. I can see a difference in my weight with compared to without wearing my robe...

Clothes, that cup of coffee and any breakfast you had before your appointment, and differences in scales can account for a lot. I generally only record weigh-ins taken from the same scale, for consistency. Your weight is not a single number, as it is constantly fluctuating throughout the day, so the trend should be more important than any individual reading.

One scale may be off. My doctor's office last year had me ten pounds lower than I was... then it was fixed months later. I weigh myself w/o clothes - or underclothes, etc. each time so it is always the same; add some extra for morning food and boots, etc. Clothes might weigh more than a few pounds.

I have a weight watchers scale which is steadily accurate. It weighs me different than my doctor's scale too, but I keep track of the difference, therefore I always know whether it is a gain or loss before I get to the doctor….it's your track record that really counts, Hang in there.

Scales are all calibrated differently and the flooring a scale is on effects the scale (as well as other factors). They should all be within a few pounds of each other. Doctors are supposed to calibrate their scales regularly because so many people weigh on them, but man don't. Best thing is to pick one as your "official" scale (the one you use all the time) and use that one to gauge your weight loss. Put an on object you know the weight of on the scale to gauge its accuracy.

wow thanks lots everyone for all the insight..and Suzi..what an awesome idea...duhhhh Why did I think of that...?? lol since I will be using my home scale more often..thats exactly what I intend on doing..i have some 5 lb weights so I will just calibrate it that way and that should do the trick...love u all for chiming in Peace and hugs all around Dar xx
