So the scale isn't budging, even though I am doing everything right. I know not 100% perfect, but damn close enough. I feel like all I'm doing is controlling is my bloat. It's discouraging. Not giving up, it's only been a few weeks. Guess I'll up my game a little more with some calisthenics, less 300 calorie walks, and more 300 calorie runs.

I feel mentally and emotionally better. That's a good thing. Now that I've almost eliminated all refined carbs, I've learned that pasta and my body are frenemies.

Yesterday, I needed some baking therapy. I figure since I have to move more, I might as well give myself a delicious reason to.

Cranberry upside down coffee cake.

Diet doesn't mean deprive. The post does sound counterintuitive though. I am trying my hardest to keep myself limited to a certain amount of good quality calories and keep up with fitness, but it's not always easy when your body is craving the energy to keep going. My struggle is real just like everyone on this site. Thanks for pointing out the obvious though. ;)

It looks delicious. But remember that if you’re going to eat sweets and carbs, moving more isn’t going to help. It’s hard not to reward ourselves with our favorite treats, but it’s a short term satisfaction. You’re looking for long term! You can do it.

Thanks Sassy! 😌 It's the first baked treat I've made in a while, and I thought it looked pretty so I shared it. You are right about short term satisfaction and long term.

the most success I had was on very very low carb keto. I had previously tried low calorie diet and ton of exercise and only lost 15 lbs. I do agree with you that I am the type of person that my body hates carbs and sugar! I can't cheat not even once and it sabotaged me. We are the unfortunate ones!

I know, Sassy. 🥰 Thanks again. The pounds WILL come off eventually. My intake is consistently less than my expenditure. It's just taking forever and I do cheat every now and then.

Knovosel-yes being sensitive to carbs is so tough. But, we will hang in there. I used to lose weight almost immediately when I tried to before, not in my mid 40's though. LOL
