Avocado confession....I see so many great looking photos featuring this green food but every time I think I'll try it again I just can't eat it. Guacamole is good but straight avocado is like eating spoonfuls of butter or mayonnaise. Are there any other ways to eat it besides guac and straight from the skin?

My wife buys me the real soft avocados, packs them on my lunch I bite the end off and squeeze out like a yogurt tube

I love them just with a tiny bit of sea salt and a spoon! Well I guess I dont eat the spoon. How about a fried egg with it or some salsa spooned in the middle? 🥑❤

You got lots of good suggestions. I like them best mashed and seasoned with lime juice, chilli and salt (so, guacamole), and if unseasoned and chopped, with other foods like chicken breast, tomatoes, and romaine in salad. I also like blending 1/4-1/2 an avocado with yoghurt, banana and spinach for a thick and creamy smoothie. Some people bake avocado with an egg on top but I have not tried that.

Too rich for me too..and nothing wrong with just eating Guac. :)

I had Herb Chicken, Broccoli Florets, coated in my wife's devilishly famous Alfredo Sauce. I small diced half an Avocado into the dish. Delicious! Usually I have Baby Bella Mushrooms and Spinach (lightly blanched) as well. Avocado is also excellent to dice up and add to breakfast egg scrambles with veges and meat.

I have made avacado fries before. they were good but a bit time consuming to make.

WW has a MEXICAN avocado toast recipe that I like. If it helps, I sprinkle lemon juice and seaaoned salt on mine when eating raw.

Make a relish type salad, boy is it good! Dice tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions and avocado, mix together and put a vinaigrette dressing, i use Italian drsg. Mix it in. Yum yum

I too love the idea of it but can't really bring myself to eat it unless it's totally buried and hidden in something 😅 you can cube it up small in salsas is popular, and you can half them and scoop out a little extra around the seed, then cook an egg inside (my husband doesn't care one way or the other about avocado, but he was in love with them as egg cups). Spread it on a rice cake and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning. So good!

Somebody else might have posted this: I've used diced or sliced avocado like I would use an onion. It's great as an ingredient in most dishes or as a topping. It can be used as a fat substitute in some baked desserts, told to me by others.

In a smoothie. Try 1/4 avocado. I put in in Chocolate Slimfast and blend.
