Why do I have to be SO STRICT even to lose a pound???? How come some people are like "yeah....I gave up my soda pop each night and lost 20 lbs" GAH!! WTF. I don't eat grains, sugar, cheese, milk, junk food...I walk, do yoga....wooo, eventually I lose a pound or two. THEN I have some wine and a few pieces of chocolate and BAM!!! Right back up to where you started, almost. So......... all that work...... for nothing???

Do I really have to always be that strict??? And OH - DON'T STRESS OUT!! IT MAKES YOU KEEP THE WEIGHT ON!!! Ahahahahaha....well fuuuuck.....how do I keep this up and NOT stress?!?!?!?!?!? GAAAAAHHHHHHH

Okay. I'll relax into my higher weight, and relax into the fact that I cut out most foods from my life and take very much care into what I eat and then my body will hold on to all my fat and stay overweight forever. Thank you, body.

F*** you, body.

Please........

Cooperate!!!

>:(

PS - I'm not updating my weight journal right now. I just can't do it. It's too depressing.

Have you tried weight training? Muscle weighs more so don't be surprised to see a weight increase. However muscle burns more calories at rest. I recommend looking up some HIIT training. They are calorie torching and muscle building.

Boy, do I ever understand your frustration!!. So what are you eating? It sounds like an atkins or high protein diet. That is what has worked the best for me in the past. Lower the carbs like it sounds like you have already. How much are you trying to lose?

I feel the same way most of the time. It's so frustrating.

I have been there too. Even if the scale doesn't budge, we are still better off by eating healthier & making wise food choices. Eventually the scale will move in the right direction. Very frustrating but whatever you do... don't give up. Hang in there!

Leillia, I traveled pretty much the same road. Ate right, exercised, lost and gained back. After much time, reflection, and research, found out that tracking your calories is a MUST, no matter which diet u follow. I track my calories WEEKLY, not daily. And I eat only if I am hungry. I NEVER weigh myself anymore. Your clothes will let u know. Don't want to feel hungry? Give up carbs for 2 weeks and drink at least 5 glasses of water, tea sweetened with any flavor of crystal light. If you stay daily under 50 grams of carbs you will see results. Calorie goal: My goal is 125 lbs (now 145 lbs) I aim @ eating the amount of calories to maintain a 125 lbs; I do not want to maintain the 145 I'm carrying around now. Same on the treadmill: when it asks for my weight I enter my goal weight because it's much harder to burn 100 calories when u are lighter than when u are heavier. Other than that take your psylium, calcium, magnesium, follic acid, potassium, and a good multivitamin daily. Still hungry? splurge on L-glutamine one spoonful @ a time. Good luck, don't give up; think of your health and well being and get back on the saddle.

I have had the same issue. I have finally started loosing weight after I had my food sensitivity testing done. This is a bit different than food allergies. It is a blood test that your doctor can do. If you react to certain food the lab will assign a level of reaction on a scale of 1-5. the higher the number the more sensitive you are and the longer you need to eliminate that from your diet. I was sensitive to garlic, eggs, dairy (cow), gluten, wheat, malt, oregano, banana, and a host of others that I had to eliminate from my diet. these food sensitivities produce wide spread inflamation. This was suggested by my personal trainer and nutrition coach at Lifetime Fitness (the test was done through the health club). I hope this helps you out. Laura
