Just realised I have been with FS for 13 mo ths and only lost 7kgs. I feel like I am failing even though I am losing.... very, very slowly. I need to do better at this! I want at least another 10kg down by november.

Everyone loses at their own pace. Taking note of your diary, I see that you’ve lost a lot of centimetres — so don’t let the scale get you down as this is a phenomenal achievement. I am also losing quite slowly, but this gives me a chance to indulge every now and then and also to lose at a sustainable rate. 7 kgs is a lot, try carrying 7 bags of 1kg sugar and you’ll realize just how much you’ve lost. Since you’re losing cms and you average quite a bit of steps, I would suggest that you get a body composition scale. It was the best decision I ever made. While the weight might not move, you may see your fat percentage decrease or you water retention increase. Definitely worth a buy. Good luck 👍🏼❤️

it's been a tough year. I've pretty much not lost more than 5kg in a year... but... I haven't gained. and maintaining during this stressful hectic crazy time is nothing to scoff at. we're all on different plans. healthy and strong is always more important to me than thin... so when I realise I'm not losing much, I remember that last year this time I had only 2 kg weights and this year my weights are 6-10kgs. different ways to read your progress other than the scale. look for those that best enhance your mental health X

Jvdheerver7, I work in a factory environment, so I walk alot and physical labour 2 or 3 times a week depending on what stock comes in. But otherwise no formal exercise.

Thanks Shereen. It is true. I did lose. And if I look at the fact that I could only lift the 22kg pole in the factory a few times last year and now I can push it over my head for the high work, my strength and stamina has increased. An achievement in itself.

A loss of 7 kgs is nothing to sneeze at. You should feel very proud. I found that exercise has helped me the most. Monitor how many steps you do daily and try to increase them if you’re not up to doing some sort of exercise programme. Well done and don’t stop!
