Good morning everyone, the last two days I’ve gotten on the scale, I’ve gained weight. I feel frustrated but I am determined to stick this out. I think it might be beneficial to stop weighing myself every day and instead try 1-2 times weekly. Does anyone have an opinion on what they think is best? Hope you all have a great day!

Have you considered eating less? Or a 72 hour fast? If your scale is noncompliant over an extended period of time, the solution is always diet. Good luck! Let's go! #grindtime #getserious

Yes, a few days ago I decreased my daily calories by 300, from 1900 to 1600. But maybe that’s not enough. I am reading up on fasting, as I have no experience with it. Thanks!

I think it’s personal preference... I like daily weigh-ins... it keeps me focused to the day ahead. I agree it’s discouraging when I see a 4lb jump. But for me, it’s not the number on the scale, but my morning reminder that I’m putting myself first

It really doesn’t matter— I weigh out of habit but I don’t obsess over every .2 lb. either. If it distresses you, don’t do it. The small daily fluctuations are meaningless.

before you cut more or start fasting make sure you're counting the calories accurately. Measuring cups and an accurate scale are really helpful. When I started using a new scale a few weeks ago I found out I was eating almost 300 calories of cheese curds and not the nice 100 calories I thought I was.

what? all this advice about "cutting more calories" seems ridiculous (to me)! you could just be carrying extra water weight, or at a specific time in your cycle that causes you to digest more slowly... even if you weigh yourself everyday, look at the weekly average and don't expect immediate progress!

I find it helpful to record what I eat each day in a log and on a calendar with either a happy face; goal met or a sad face; went over goal ( you'd be surprised, it works !! )and weigh in every two weeks and record that as well, I feel your pain with a weight gain, going thru it myself....stay strong !!

I weigh myself daily and sometimes its a bit up and sometimes its a bit down. Sometimes you can have water retention. Its not a totally downward scale loss for any one. Good luck. Keep up the good work.
