No more sharing my "little victories" with my mother-in-law, I shouldn't let her mean/negative comments get to me like this. Bad few days, time to get back on track.

Some MILs are like that. Some others are loving.

Yep this is your life! Run it any way you wish not as others see it! Tell others to get their own life and do as they wish as well!

Stick with it and in time everyone will see the results. Victory speaks for itself.

I don't know what your MIL said to you, I'm sorry it hurt your feeling. Try to think the next time someone says something mean. It means they are jealous. When you are up for it. Say to her, when you say things like "xyz.." it makes me feel this way. Maybe she will stop. Nip it in the bud or open a conversation for a better relationship. I let my own mother hurt me for decades with her careless words. Until I grew into my own and confronted her "respectfully " She says she didn't mean it. But it cut deep b/c it came from her. Some people don't know their words hurt, some people just want to say hurtful things. If there is constructive criticism in her words, there's an opportunity to get closer to her. Otherwise, you will have learn learn not to let her words hurt you. I'm talking from experience. I'm still learning and the source of meanness comes from immediate family members It had gotten to the point where I was thinking negative thought to myself

P.S. You've got this. You're young, strong, and determined. If I had a chance to tell my younger self. Keep it up and find a way to make it sustainable for long term maintenance. You can do this!🙂

I have always encouraged the people that I have mentored to choose their audience carefully. For those like your MIL don’t discuss your weight or your “program”, or what you are eating. A phrase that seems to be effective is simply, “I am working at being healthier”. And in response to what or how you are doing it, a simple “whatever it takes” is usually sufficient. Don’t let anyone bait you.

Agree with Kenna, you don't have to answer to anyone but yourself and like Kenna said, keep your responses short and to the point. You're doing great. Don't let negativity spoil your success. You got this.
