I am back from Houston. Show went well, steer didn't make the sale but that's ok. We had a great time and will now take Bubblebee to the county show and hopefully make the sale with him there.

While in Houston my OB's office called and there were some issues with my blood work. My Thyroxine level was high so I have made an appointment to see my family doctor. So we will see. When I googled what it meant, I have all the symptoms so maybe with some adjustments I can get my energy, concentration, drive, etc going again! If I can do that, then the weight loss will follow.

Only other report that was off was my platelets but I already knew that because of my Von Willebrand. So I will always be a low count there but it is still well above the 50 which is when I would have to be concerned.

Didn't weigh today going to wait for the stockshow and TOM bloat to go away and not planning to get on the scales until Monday for my reported weigh in.

Have a great weekend everyone and for those on Spring Break...enjoy the time off with your kiddos!

Hmm. I hope getting this issue sorted out will help with your energy levels. Sounds promising. Good luck with your sale.

I hope that your thyroxine level can be managed easily. How much do steers sale for?

@ Deana... If you made the sale you were guaranteed $2,250 if you make the sale. The sale at Houston for steers is tomorrow, but the Grand Champion Lamb brought $200,000 today. The child does not get the entire $200,000 but $40,000 is still a lot for a lamb. Grand Champion steer, the exhibitor gets $75,000. At our local show, last years Grand Champion steer brought $7,800.
