Not a great work BL weigh in, up 3.2 this week. Moved back to 3rd place. But, should have a big loss next week, TOM. Hoping for 5 pounds or more to catch me back up. We have 4 more weigh in to go. So have to kick it back up in gear to keep moving those scales down, not up.

Spent yesterday evening dodging tornados. 3 sightings in our area. Luckily none ever touched down, but Normangee was on alert for hours. We received 4.4 inches of rain in a couple of ours. Our places was flooded. The boys and I were out catching crawfish and rescuing baby bass and catfish that were coming out of the pond banks. They were getting washed up on the driveway and we helped push them all back into the flooded pasture to find home again.

Wow glad to hear you and your family are safe! tornados frighten me. That must have been alot of rain if a rescue was in order. I bet your boys were having fun with all the excitment. TOM is a "pain" isn't he. Those numbers will surely even out for your next weigh in. Your BL challenge sounds very motivating! Have a great day!! Hope things have calmed down by way of weather for you!

Rain everyday this week. Expecting creeks to continue to rise and more road closures in our area. So far, the road to work is ok, but some of the rural roads are closed. The road we live on, between us and Brad's brother (9 miles down the road from us) is closed due to creeks being over the road. I hate tornados and thunderstorms, but luckily these never did damage. Had one hit our area December 29, 2006, remember that exact day b/c my son's birthday. It only uprooted trees on our place, but emploided two trailer houses on the property behind us, took out their barns, etc. We were hunckered down and it was so loud. I told my husband, can you imagine how loud it was in the direct path, we were probably 300 yards behind our place the path. We rescued horses that were on walkers at our neighbors. No one had any idea they were coming til they hit. One of the ladies that's husband worked for the guy behind us, she and her kids were in trailer house. He kids were fine, but she was paralyzed by falling debris. Not something I want to experience again. Luckily didn't have to worry about husband or oldest son because they were in town with me, Brad had a doctors appointment. So at least I wasn't sitting at work wondering if they were ok. Again, luckily the tornados never touched down doing damage. Just lots and lots of water.

Wow I am glad you are all safe from the storm in 2006. I re-read what I wrote and I wasn't very clear I ment the excitement of getting the crawfish and baby bass back into there ponds. Hope the water moves on soon.

Yes, we have one of the perch in our house aquarium right now. Nathan thought it was too weak to put back in pond. The aquarium was empty so we scooped up the rain water and filed it up. Nathan said this weekend we would let it back out!!! He was too funny. We did find it stuck in a clup of grass, it was not dried out and still breathing just not sure how long it had been there.

Yikes! I think I'd have dropped a few pounds just from worrying about tornados! I'm so glad you're safe!

Me too but looks like I held on to the stress. Now things are crazy with work due to the swine flu (or whatever it is called now). UIL has can canceled all state events til Mid-May. Schools in Texas closing right and left. So far University is still open, but I am sure it is just a matter of time. So now on top of worrying about river cresting and flooding our roads we have swine flu outbreak to worry about. I personally haven't figured out the panic as we had a huge flu outbreak last winter that closed a bunch of schools too, but this has caused panic. UIL has NEVER done anything like this in TEXAS. We had our statewide 4-H Scholarship interviews in Austin, which were also cancelled now. So I am sure our phones will be ringing off the hook, when are they rescheduled, etc. Going to be crazy, crazy tomorrow. Maybe I'll be too busy to think about eating bad that way!!

I worry about natural storms way too much and I am so happy to know that you are safe! "too busy to eat bad": understandable. To your reply today: Medium from XL is so awesome. I can't wait to be where you are!

I'm waiting for the schools to close too. A few have that have had confirmed cases so I know it's just a matter of time...Glad you survived the tornados! Our schools were closed on Tuesday because of the flooding but it really wasn't in our immediate area.
