It's one of those days where I feel hungry. Thankfully, I pack my lunch & snacks every day so I'm limited to those options. However, in order to not dig into my sandwich at 9:00 this morning, I had to resort to a Smart bar I had tucked away in my desk for such occasions as this.
Feeling hungry like this is usually my sign that I've exercised well the day(s) before. I don't fret about it. I eat knowing will fuel me for the next workout, hike, adventure, whatever.
Weight is staying consistent. I received a reminder from FS this morning so I figured I'd hop on the scale. I need to get rid of that reminder...I don't care much about what the scale says anymore. I feel great. I'm gaining strength. I'm gaining speed and endurance. I'll continue to que into the signals my body is sending me regarding when/what I need to eat, sleep, push it harder, or take it easy.
I'm loving avocados lately. I try to limit it to half of one a day...but they're so good.
Over the weekend, I whipped up a batch of cauliflower "potato" salad. Husband was impressed (as was I). I'm sure there's a recipe on FS, but basically substitute the potatoes in a potato salad recipe with steamed cauliflower and you've got a great little alternative.
Love that the markets are filling up with a larger variety of fresh produce. Looking forward to the fall harvest as I love those days of sweet potatoes and squash.
OK - I'm just making myself even more hungry. I'm off to grab another jug of water and then take a break from my desk to go for a walk. Office is very noisy today...I need to get away.
