Water! Water! Water! I have to remember to consume as much as I can - joining the drink water challenge has helped tremendously. I try to have my water close at hand as a constant reminder.

Painters are at it again today ... I am hoping and praying it's the final day of painting. I want this to end ... as soon as possible, if not sooner. Too much chaos for too long - it will be worth it in the long run!

Eating is going well. Yoga .. not so much. I need to get back consistently. It's been a hit and miss this week. Still trying to gain momentum on my low carb eating and portion control. I am making progress but not where I was before December. I used to weigh every day and I will get back to it ... it's just hard to do that right now (assault on the senses... those darn numbers on the scale). I will try to weigh at least weekly to see if I am making progress in the weightloss arena. Right now, getting a few weeks of good eating under my belt, getting my water intake up and getting back to yoga is my focus. Have a fantastic Friday everyone. TGIF!!!!!

Great goals! It is about being healthy - the scale is secondary!

Should be easier going now since you have a kitchen again. Are you loving your new kitchen?

Thanks friends! HCB: Absolutely right about the scale being secondary! WFN: Yes, I really am enjoying my new kitchen :). I have a relatively small kitchen - galley style with an area for eat-in, but I really like it. I enjoy cooking in it and I am very grateful I was able to get the renovation done!!!

I envy you Jenn!!! I think having an updated kitchen would be so cool. Our 5th wheel has a nicer kitchen than our house. LMAO!!

MOM: I have to admit, it was worth all the challenges and inconveniences we suffered. the kitchen is now the nicest room in our house! I need a break from the chaos which I will take after they finish the living/dining/hallway/downstairs bathroom/upstairs hallways that they are painting now. My next big thing will be the basement redo and the upstairs bathroom - but I need to wait and have some peace for a while (not to mention the rest of the family who sees all of this as "mom's projects" - although they all benefit).

Glad you are happy with your kitchen. One reason I bought my house was the updated kitchen, I love my kitchen though I want to paint it. Gray is not the best color for a sunny kitchen with good sized windows. I can understand a break from the chaos, I needed one after my basement re-vamp a few years ago. I love my basement, it's no longer a dark dungeon, still need to do the ugliest bathroom ever. Was hoping to do that but this needed roof repairs and insulation issue (thanks to the coons who like my attic) has put off the bathroom updates. Will start my painting and finishing my spiral staircase re-do next week, 3 day weekend.

Listen to you two! All these projects!!! I still have to finish painting my kitchen. That is the best I can do for an uplift in there. It was a forest green and now its cloth colored and so much brighter. I am very pleased with it. It took a lot of paint to cover the darker color so I ran out before Thanksgiving. Time to get back to it.

It's funny how updating your space can lift your spirits! That's the effect it is having on me! I am loving lighter colours now - so the kitchen is Ecru and the newly painted walls in the living areas are a light mocha with ultra bright white trim and crown mouldings. It looks great!
