Hello FS Beauties!!! IT'S FRIDAY!! WOO-HOO! it's funny how friday is still a big deal, even though i'm a stay-at-home mommy now. i guess it's because i know hubbs is off on the weekends to share the load.
anyway, things have been going really well this week, eating-wise. i have really tried to stick to my points every day, and have been mostly successful. i went over by about 5 points yesterday, but i know i had my activity as a cushion.
my running has been going great! yesterday i ran 6 miles in 52:18... which goes to show how far i've come because when i started 1)i couldn't run more than a mile without huffing and puffing like i was going to die, and 2) my time was about 10.5 minute miles.. YAY! it's so nice to see that all of this butt-kicking is paying off. now i just have to wait until tuesday to see if it's paying off on the scale. :)
speaking of which, i have really been feeling betweeen a rock and a hard place lately in terms of what i eat. at this point in my running schedule, i am doing 26 miles per week, in addition to cross-training and strength training. IT'S MAKING ME TIRED if i only eat my 23 allotted points. and i'm not even wasting my points on junk! i'm trying to eat a lot of fiber and focus on protein as well, but i guess i just wonder if it's not enough. i know that you supposedly get "activity points" that you can use, but i don't want to stop losing weight because i'm going over my points every day. however, i do notice that around 2-3pm everyday i totally crash and burn. any suggestions??!
(i have been trying to drink a glass of chocolate milk within 30m of my runs/workouts, because a friend told me it's the "poor man's protein shake". haha. seems to help me recover faster, though)

Hi! Sounds like your doing great!!! I think it would be even better if you drank chocolate soy milk or rice milk... you get all the protein and calcium without so many calories! If you've never tried soy milk (or rice) believe me... when you get the chocolate kind, you can't even tell!

I don't know what to suggest about the 2-3 PM crash and burn feeling because I get it, too! If you get any good suggestions let me know. Great job on your running. You've come so far already! Are you using your flex points? I think you should use some if you don't already, for those extra hungry days.
