Diario di Bruce Bear, 12 nov 22

Well I just found this journal entry and I have been looking but couldn’t see it 😆. Haven’t felt to good today after a bad night sleep, woke up to early and then went back to sleep but woke up sweating. So I’ve been in a mood today. I cooked dinner for the family like I do but there’s a lot of left overs and I keep putting them in the freezer but it’s pissing me off somewhat. When I don’t make enough everyone is looking at dinner like there’s not enough and when i make too much no one fucking eats it. I used last nights dinner with tonight’s dinner and there’s still enough to make dinner with it tomorrow (like WTF). Hopefully I’m losing weight, in my mind I want to buy a treadmill but again I’m not sure. I feel so what of a idiot, like what am I trying to prove. Well my goal is to be more healthy and lose weight maybe even find a partner 🤷‍♂️. My motivation is a little low today wish I had someone to just talk to and there be nothing sexual or romantic about it, just talking about how you are going. Well this is the first of many entries 🙂.

You are obviously trying so hard to help your family. I think it is admirable of you to cook for them! If you think they are upset with how much food there is, you might ask them for feedback? Do they communicate well with you?

Welcome Bruce!! Talk to your parents about the food. In a nice "let's not waste food, please" way. Do they support you in your weigh loss journey? We're here for you in a non romantic way 😅 reach out when you need support!

@gwzfire I should’ve put I’m cooking for 7 people in the house and it’s a little hit and miss at times but I’ll get through it 🙂. @nosequepongo thanks for the welcome. Thanks for the support, I’ll find a way through it. If i can get people to eat left overs for lunch that be great 😅

I cook for 7 adults every night. Had a night off on Thursday and the town I live in lost power so all food places closed early 😭.

I agree with gwzfire. 7 adults! Jesus! I struggle cooking for my daughter and me 😅

Can the other adults pitch in and cook on certain nights? Like give them assigned nights that they’re responsible for cooking for everyone? Then you can focus on yourself. My adult daughter doesn’t like my cooking and won’t eat leftovers. I found myself eating extra food because I didn’t want to waste it. So it came down to me not making dinner on some nights which made her step up to cooking dinner that she likes for both of us.

So many people! Hang in there!

Portion out those leftovers and pop them in the freezer. Those are perfect lunches so you can stay out of drive thrus. If they don’t want to eat your food they can cook their own. They are adults, like you said.

@JustBananas trust me I have haha and I’m running out of freezer room. @Kay310 The other day I went to the supermarket and chicken breast was at $5 a kilo 😯 so I bought 4kgs which I’ve cut and frozen in 250g bags for myself. I cook a separate dinner for everyone else. Thanks @gwzfire 🙂. Thanks @abbadabba

Problem solved everyone, we are having leftover night for dinner 🙂

you can't predict what they're going to eat. Keep serving them the leftovers when you have them it's a good lesson in non-wastefulness and gives you a break from cooking. Also, I bought a treadmill last year and wrote it off on my taxes as a medical expense. I had a medical account at work and my dr suggested it since Im pretty healthy and had the extra. You cant take it off the bottom-line but its pretaxed money and even if you take the standard deduction there is a spot for it. Sorry this is a bit long. Good luck.
