Thanks everyone! Haha, DP! I rode this thing like 15 years ago. He still has it. After working in 911 for a while, I'd never do it again. It's cool but not worth the risk. 

bikes are so much fun but crashing them is not on my list of things I want to do again. I'm sure one day I'll have a bike again though.

i went for my 1st bike ride ever last month. i get the hype. its really relaxing.... and i trust the driver with my life. but man its terrifying to think about how the only truly protected body part is your head. not for me.  

I had 2 close encounters where I saw my life flashed before my eyes on a bike. 1 with a semi and 1 trying to beat a red light. Fun times  

Supergainz1 I tried to summon my inner superman and decided to go flying over the handle bars fly though the air then tumble down the street getting knocked unconscious and woke up laying on my back staring up at the night sky dazed and confused. Thankfully I had jeans on , a riding jacket, gloves and a full face helmet that had to be replaced since it was cracked in half!

Scary to see distracted drivers lately. Glad you are well and avoided accident, nice bike. We are seeing people in cars getting killed in our area for stupidity. Near work two killed over someone not stopping at stop sign (one a 10 yr old). Fear kicks in now all the time.

I agree with you DP! Would scare the heck out of me if my hubby got one. He has a boat and so one toy is enough!  

otb sounds like that helmet saved your life. I'll never understand the people that don't wear one 

In Illinois you don't need to wear a helmet but you better have your seatbelt on or you're getting a ticket. 😭

It amazes me thay people dont wear Helmets in PA all the time and they wear shorts and sleeveless shirts! But yes the helmet absolutely saved my life and even with it on I got a very bad concussion. I would probably be dead if I was wearing one of the half helmet Skull cap type ones as well. I did a lot of stupid stuff on bikes but the 1 time I crashed was because a deer ran in front of me and I swerved to not hit it head on. I hit gravel went off the road and straight into a large rock.
