I feel like my weight loss story thus far is like "The Tortoise and the Hare" - slow and steady.....so far I've lost 8 lbs in 5 weeks but I can't see the difference in the mirror just yet. I exercise twice as much and modified my entire diet to lose 1-2 lbs a week while my husband walks maybe 2-3 times/wk and barely modified his food portion and he loses 5 lbs/week! 🤦😆 I know, don't compare! Patience is my weakness 😕
Along with bad lab results and a sudden extra 25 lb weight gain when peri-menopause hit last year, I had an unrealistic goal to go from 175 to at least down to 150 by August for our Hawaii trip. Being I just started my journey on May 18, I'm now accepting how unrealistic it is to lose 25 lbs in just a little over 2 months for me. At this rate, I think I need to be ok that at best, I can be 158-160 by Aug. Not the bikini weight I had hoped but at least I'm hoping that before the Thanksgiving holiday I should reach my goal of 135. I'm just antsy to look in the mirror and say "Yes! I can see a change happening!" Soon I hope! 🙏 On to week 6!😃❤️ Looking forward to saying next Thursday I hit the official 10 lb down mark! I heard 10 lbs is usually a dress size down. 👀We'll see.....
