When I struggle, I go for a walk with the dog (if you don't have one, go by yourself). Drink extra water and wait and see if it passes. Most time reoccupying yourself will send the thought away. Good luck.

Kay, one thing that helps me is to plan and prep my day. I prep healthy snacks in snack size bags. If you are craving sweets, try protein. Greek yogurt, turkey slices, a boiled egg, etc. If you need crunch try veggies with lite ranch, mini rice cakes ,etc. Try moving, weather it's walking, swimming, dancing, etc and it will occupy your time. Dieting is not for the faint of heart but you can do it. It is truly one day at a time! Best of luck!🩷

Walking, eating more protein, water, keeping a plan of action, but most of all self control and discipline even though it’s so hard at times.

when I feel restricted, I rebel against myself. so in those times I focus on eating vegetables, which I can eat in abundance, to try and counteract the mental deprivation.

Well some may say this is bad advice but i say don’t deprive yourself of your craving instead limit it. I feel you should give your body want it needs just in moderation. Drink a glass full of water 30 min before you eat to help you feel more full. This is a great habit to do before any meal. Balance your craving with an extra 30 min walk! And limit them. If your craving chips for ex eat some just not half the bag! If your body wants fast food get some just not 3 meals in the days worth and get a kids meal for smaller portions. Just my advice. Stay focused but don’t continue to fight unless you have serious health issues from eating said “cravings” i say in moderation.

Find a hobby to take up the time that you would spend giving into those cravings. I kept myself busy and just chose to fight against the cravings

Eat plenty of the right stuff at mealtimes. If I eat a hearty serving of protein with fat at meals, it kills cravings for between meal snacks.

Agreed with all that is being said meal prep and eat tons of lean proteins and salads veg. Make a pack with yourself you will first eat what you intend to then if you still hungry maybe you can snack I also got all the unhealthy stuff out the house or I let my kids eat it 😀

Drink plenty of water and chew sugar free gum; helps to fill your belly, stay hydrated and tricks your brain into feeling full bc of chewing

I also tell my self to wait 15 minutes… if you can get past 15 minutes, the cravings sometimes go away. I also like to roast broccoli with a little olive oil and with spices ./. This way, if I feel like I need to stuff myself, I can and not feel guilty … i have also discovered this yogurt at Trader Joe’s Greek Yogurt, 0 milk fat, 130 calories… It is very creamy and feels like a treat. I eat it with a baby spoon to make it last … that usually does the trick. I foster neonatal kittens that need to be fed and or receive fluids every 2-3 hours… the sleep deprivation makes me feel hungry. Right now I have one who has a drain in it’s back due to an infection … he is in an incubator and he is a lot but he just started opening his eyes, which is so magical that the sleep deprivation is worth it. I continue to look for tricks to get past the cravings and or to “indulge” without guilt . I am so tired of the yo yo that I have to keep strong … you can do it too!

Just eat real foods. Limit processed foods, (treat yourself occasionally.) Make new friends. Join a sports team. Start a new hobby or spend time on one you already enjoy. Walk, swim, ride a bike, get in some fun physical activity every day Don't compare yourself to others, instead become your own "best" friend, love and accept yourself. No one is perfect. We are all a work-in-progress! Work on your goals in a healthy way, which starts with making sure you set healthy, reasonable, and obtainable goals. Live and enjoy life! I hope this helped.🌞 Best wishes!

Do something to take your focus away. Walking around your house, driving to a park, and even a cemetery. Or just step out of your house in the sun can break the focus. You could try Breathe work: breathe through nose (4 count), hold for (7 count), and out of your mouth (8 count). Do this for 4x. Each time, focus on slow and steady. I sympathize too their are times I can be so hyper-focused as well. Having a plan during this time is important is important. Lately, my go-to snack is 1/2 c non-fat greek yogurt, 1/2 frozen blueberries, and 1 tsp honey, total calories 128 cal. Hope this helps

When this happens to me , I would brush my teeth/ chew gum and stay away from the kitchen. If I cannot wait , I will eat one hard boiled egg and drink lots of water to hold me over. You can occupy your mind on a project. You got this!

i try ro replace my cravings with something healthy like cucumbers with a little salt or something like that... since ive been getting more of a grip on this ive realized how much more of the healthy stuff i can as opposed to the calories in one big mac, ect... totally ok to snack.. i love sourdough pretzels but there are 110 calories per 5 pretzels. it does seem to do the trick though rather than eating 100 potato chips.. and SEASON SEASON SEASON.. sauteed broccoli and mushrooms with some garlic... giiiiiirrrll.. throw some egg whites in the mix... feta cheese.. ect... dont get me wrong, i still have a long way to go myself but im telling you, this app makes me ABSOLUTELY more mindful about what you're eating... and YES the calories are important but ive found that the quality of what youre eating goes a LONG way... i first started off going to the gym almost everyday and still eating garbage, but lost a little weight.... now im super conscious about what i eat and still go to the gym 2-3x a week.. not to mention all has helped with postpartum depression and anxiety.. im not at my goal yet but im a little over halfway there... it was SUPER hard at first (as i was dealing with PPD) but once u start noticing a difference, it just fuels the fire!!! so GO GET IT
