I have faith that Sydney will fight for every extra minute of time to be with you, a tiny bladder will be an adjustment for her and like every good baby, it will upset her if she goes in the house. Puppy pads are a must have for those "Mommy I'm not gonna make it" moments. My little Chi, Baby Girl has CHF and has to take diuretics, when she would be in a deep sleep at night, the urge to go would hit her so suddenly that she would pee right when she jumped out of her bed. That would upset her so she would stand next to it and bark and look so guilty and anxious. It took a bit for her to get used to using the pads and not feel guilty for going in the house. It took lots of treats and pets to make her feel better about it.

Thank you all for your loving and kind comments. I have been so worried about her! Sydney and I have a special bond and she follows me everywhere! It felt strange to not have her here at home last night. She will likely be in hospital for 2 more days. I can’t wait to see her and give her lots of love! Debra, thanks for tip about puppy pads. I hadn’t thought of that. We were thinking of diapers at night. We will have to see. We did buy a surgical donut for her to wear instead of the cones. I think she will do better with those. Thank you all again! 💜💜💜

So glad to hear Sydney got through surgery. Praying for a good recovery and lots more time with you. I had a rescue Shih tzu and I don't thing she was ever house broken. I used the pads for years and near the end got tiny diapers. She didn't like them. With pets you just deal with whatever you have to and figure out what to do

Our yorkie has always had a tiny bladder. He's ok if we take him out often, but he's getting older & doesn't always seem to remember it's not ok to go in the house. We finally started using belly bands when we go away & he's at home without us. Recently we started using them at night, as well. I'm sure you'll figure out what adjustments you'll have to make for Sydney. We always do when we love them.

Update: we called to check on Sydney and Dr was in surgery but technician said she was doing great. She is urinating on her own and she is alert. Catheter was able to be removed. I'm so happy! Thanks again for all your comments!🩷🩷🩷
