I think I cut my calories too quickly and too much. After reading around, I think eating 200 -300 kcal
under maintenance for two weeks may be beneficial for me. Whilst sustaining the same level of activity ( strength training, running and hiking )

Terrified for obvious reasons but I think it will be beneficial in the long term.

If anyone has experience or a better approach to this please let me know.

Slow and steady wins the race. I've also tried to cut calories quickly by living on shakes and eating little and it's not sustainable. I find it better when I work on being balanced and good habits. Youve got this 💐
