I was up 5lbs mid week n now I'm down again ,but still up from last weigh in. I'm holding onto water, any suggestions on how to lower the water weight?

Keep drinking water! It's not quite as simple as "water in, sodium (and consequent excess fluid) out" but that, and reduced sodium intake, will make a huge difference once your body decides it's "okay" to release the extra fluids. It might take several days (which is frustrating - to me, anyway,) but once it starts it will be dramatic.
