Woke up sleepy today, but decided to start taking some vitamin B complex to help me with energy, depression, and fat burning. It's been helping me a lot, although it was a tad unsettling to see neon yellow pee lol. I've also started taking fish oils to try and help out any way I can.

I have 170 pounds to lose, I keep thinking to myself that's a whole other person... and I'm trapped inside that person. I can't remember being slim, it's been since I was a child. I look at the number 170 and I think that's going to take forever to lose, and it almost seems impossible.

I'm pushing myself though, every time I feel like giving up in my exercising I look at my daughter and realize I need to keep going for her, I tell myself that it's all about choices... and I choose her... I choose life... I want to live without feeling sluggish, depressed, or trapped... It's been too long, and I owe it to myself.

I know I can do this with the right motivation and mind set. I need to practice self control, and improve self motivation because I know I'm worth the time now. :)

I love your positive attitude. You can definitely do this and you have the 2 best reasons to never give up: yourself + your daughter. Good luck to you on your journey!

I wish you all the best. Two things to consider. 1. Exercise is irrelevant, you cannot exercise your way out of a bad diet. 2. You will need to completely re-think and re-learn what eating is. What is it i'm about to eat? Why am I eating it? What are the Pro's and Con's after eating it? Will eating this help me towards losing weight, or help me gain weight?

@mahjohn you're completely right. It's been a new challenge, one that I plan on over coming and keeping on track with. :)

You can do it - see all the people here who have lost weight successfully - even more than your loss goal. Use them for education and inspiration!

Set an interim goal, and change it in your FS settings. That number is too much to stare down, and you won't see your weight loss progress bar change colors very often. I started with a 50 pound goal as my first goal, but if I had it to do over, I think I'd start with 20 or 25. Some of the most successful members here who have/had a lot of weight to lose are living the Low Carb High Fat way. I'm not on it yet and can't vouch for it, but I'd read up on it if I were you and read the posts of users here who are doing that successfully. Good luck!!!

ok..not "bashing"...just sayin' looked at your food log so far. I would used that as a guide for what not to eat. It's early days and you have to walk before you can run..i.e., work on clearing foods out the house that should not be there....work on getting in the right foods, decide what is the date..what is the date when you can run with it. If it was easy, you'd have done it a long time ago.

you can do it, just keep thinking of your daughter I know it is easier said then done if it was that easy none of us would be on this site trying to loose, especially myself would like to loose 50-6o lbs again just about will power and making the right choices and when we make the wrong ones don't punish ourselves and give on just move on to the next day...

The best diet is the one that you can stick to. I would recommend logging everything you eat (although I don't feel the need to log things like unsweetened black coffee, not that I ever drink coffee). I use both the app and website to keep on top of it. Looks like you're already doing that, so you're off to a great start. You don't need to do anything radical to start losing weight, just be mindful.

They say you can't exercise out a bad choice in food, but to me that's defeatist. What I say instead is, I'm going to work out, regardless, because that's what I do now. I work out when I'm tired, sleepy, hungry, just don't wanna...!!!!! etc etc. I do it because that's what I have to do. It's not a choice. It's not an option. It's like breathing, something you JUST DO. That being said, the next part is food choices. I am a sugar tooth. I have to cut down on sugar, so I started eating fruit. I don't like veggies but I'll start adding some in shortly. I noticed I cannot eat what I used to eat anymore and that's good!! Pay attention to your body, it will talk to you and tell you what's OK and what's not anymore.
