Diario di Windy Day, 14 set 24

Good Saturday morning peepers. Gray day but Im all for it. Been working in the yard past couple days and something got me on the thumb when I was ripping out kudzu vines. It has gotten red and swollen and terrible burning/itching. Been trying different things, anti-itch cream, triple antibiotic, baking soda paste. So far the only relief has come from raw local honey applied to it. Intense itching gone, just waiting on the swelling to go down. I actually think it isnt a bite but reaction to those prickly spines of one of those poisonous caterpillars. We see a lot of them on our property. Watch out for those buggers!

That aside, it really feels and looks like fall out here. Making a SMALL raspberry ripple cheesecake for daughter's birthday on Monday, and taking her out to eat tomorrow or Monday. My baby is all grownup. :(

When I think back over the years I am pleased with how far Ive come on a personal level. And at this time of my life finding it's time and amazingly satisfying to be as kind to self as to others.
