Wait....did you just call me a hoe? *gigglesnort* 

tchha! :P A joke which my JD students never tire. I can always get them into the garden by saying "Each one of you pick your hoe and let's get hoeing" It starts things out with some hilarity. 

Followed only in popularity by teaching them to prune tomato plants, by pinching the suckers out of the crotch of each leaf. It gets yelled across the yard, Yo did you hear that, she wants us to pinch the suckers out of the crotch! 

That was supposed to be deep and poetic, Kes, look where you took me. It's all your fault! 

I love taking you to the dark side, sweetie..... You have a great intelligence, but it is eclipsed by your great humor. I admire that in anyone! My favorite poet was Ogden Nash. World's shortest poem, titled, "Fleas": Adam had'em. ;) 

<<<<<<Pinching suckers from crotches and running! Speaking of which, my spent cherry tomato patio plant that I almost pulled this past weekend, has new blossoms! 

They actually love extreme heat if they get some water and the blights don't get um.

Ahhhh...gardening, the much needed diversion. Hubby calls it obsessively sidetracked. What? 

The JD kids must love you; that's great! So you're back to work? Hope you're feeling well. 

Not back to work. Energy is creeping up, but definitely not ready garden in the heat. I last about 10 min out there before I can't breathe. Next week is vacation, then I should be ready to start the new school year.
