Thanks, 8 pounds is great. I just looked back at journals from 2010 and I had lost 11 pounds my first week last time. I was thinking over what I ate then compared to now and I can see a difference. Back then I ate alot of grilled chicken and this week I ate vienna sausages for lunch every day because I didn't plan well and go to the grocery store. That probably has something to do with it.
Well last night I went to the grocery store and bought everything I needed to make low-carm chicken tortilla soup. I made a big batch of it and brought it to work today. I have at least 2 to 3 days of soup ahead of me and I know that is healthier for me.
Oh I have to say I felt very proud of myself last night. I was in line at Wal-Mart checking out when a lady got in line behind me and started unloading her buggy (Yes, in the south we call them buggies... It's a shopping cart LOL) So I start comparing my items to hers. I have eggs, cheese, milk, fresh cauliflower, onions, a rotissery chicken, peanut butter, whole wheat bread and some apples & oranges for my kids. The only junk food I had was ice cream for my kids. Her buggy looked like mine did before my diet. She had sodas, frozen pizza, one of those homestyle bakes kits, mac n cheese, chips and lucky charms cereal. Now I am not putting her down because all of that stuff is delicious! I just felt proud of myself that my shopping has changed so much. Want to keep it up!
