Em, really proud of you. If you can really give up the soft drinks that will be such a win for you. Sucrose and Fructose are so bad for the body. And the artificial sweeteners do all kinds of things when the liver processes them. A gallon of water is a lot of water. I do about 3/4 of a gallon a day, maybe more on the weekends when I am more active. I just hope you stay off the soft drinks long enough that you can experience how much better you will feel.

Yess well I got all the way to dinner time and just had to have a mello yellow. It was sitting on the table and I was staring at it while I was at the toaster oven. Very proud that I only had about have a 20 oz but still was trying to do only water. It gets hard at dinner time. But I will do this. I will start only drinking water. Right now there are no sodas that I drink in the house.

I started drinking carbonated water with a quarter squeezed lemon about 1 year ago... last week I ordered a sprite and was sooo disappointed 😳 I missed the sourness! 😋
I really started liking it and today I basically choose that over any other choice of drink.

Since stopping squash, Diet Coke and caffeinated drinks I find that now I actually notice that I'm thirsty if I haven't drunk water fir a while
I drink a pint when I get up, when I get to work,
when I come home,
when I go to bed
It becomes a habit
You're doing great 👍

@Emilygu are you still alive? What was your experience?

Yes I'm still alive. Lol. Surprisingly didn't even crack half of it. I apparently don't drink as much water or anything for that matter, that I actually should. So I got about halfway finished. I'm sure if I was in the gym I would drink the whole thing or at least to 3/4 mark. :)
