I also made it tonight with my usual hand held blender but this time my son said it was too "grainy" so I used the new food processor I got over the weekend for the next batch and it was really really good.

I might have to invest in one if I continue to make it :)

I smash mine with the potato smasher thingy. Then I use my hand held emulsion blender. Whips them up awesomely and those are relatively cheap! I use mine a lot. From mayo, soups, sauces to cauliflower purée

ClarityAnn I took your advise and bought a smasher tonight at Walmart. I hope this will do a whole lot better. :)

Keep your eyes open at thrift shops or goodwills for a blender or a food processor. They are fairly inexpensive and dish soap is cheap. 🤷🏻♀️Plus some of the older models have better power than the newer ones. A blender will work if you want to mash things if you put a bit of liquid in with it. ie. your butter and a bit of milk and open the bottom when you want the stuff out.🤷🏻♀️
