I finally hooked up my bodybugg. Let's see if this motivates me to move more when I'm not exercising. It already got me to exercise today when I wasn't actually planning on it. Just finally figured it out and had it set up and wanted to find out if it works. I did my "usual" 30 Day Shred DVD, Level 3, and the Power Sculpt Levels 1 and 3, (along with a five minute warm up and five minute cool down) and burned about 420 calories if I did that right. I think I did, I know I really put a lot of effort into that hour of working out. So it'll be interesting. Bodybugg also recommended I think it said, 1700 calories a day to lose 1.6 lbs a week. Well, unless I somehow can't add, or can't measure and weigh things, I'm not getting close to that - I think I'm averaging 1275 or so and losing 1 lb a week. So I still question my metabolism/hormone/thyroid issues. I'll keep plugging away, see if anything changes. I know I've lost about 2 3/4" from my waist, and about 3" from my hips and 3" from that lovely saddlebag area since the beginning of Jan. And maybe 10 lbs total, if that. So I know I'm building muscle, too, but this is the slowest weight loss I've ever seen for myself with what I think is my maximum effort and consistency. It's hell getting old! I'll weigh myself tomorrow. With the bodybugg, you can only update your weight once per week, though.
