Diario di emilygu, 16 nov 17

So I have made it my through my fasting time. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be for the first time of fasting. I will do it again tomorrow to see how that goes. I’m going to try and have a light dinner tonight. Maybe breakfast for supper. I have these amazing cream cheese pancakes that I make. Anyways good day so far and hope everyone else’s day is fantastic too.

That's great news! Now, keep in mind, if/when you start doing this regularly, things that used to be "regular" with you may no longer be. It's not reason for alarm, you're just not taking in as much food as before and the foods you are now eating are better absorbed without as much waste. If you decide to do longer fasts, talk to Ches and a few others on here about whether or not you may need a vitamin supplement for the day. Keep up the good work and keep the drive you have going!

how long did you fast? my longest was 4 days in September

I only fasted for 16 hours. Which isn’t much I know but I’m just starting out. Yeah I will definitely talk to ches or other who do this and thanks for the little tip there I’d prolly freak out and have it all on here asking about it.

Emilygu, there are videos on Youtube about 12 hour fasts and the benefits. You might find them informative and interesting. I fast 12 or more hours every day.

Our church participates in a 30-day Daniel Fast each January. No meat or animal products, no leavened bread or baked goods, no yeast, no added sugars or sweeteners, chemicals, or preservatives, no dairy, no solid fats, nothing to drink but water. It is the best cleanse ever and I felt great! Modified it a little and did for three more months. Slowly started adding things and now my food habits are long far gone. Joined this site to get some incentive.

Hi Emily! I do 18:6 or 20:4 most days and then usually at least once a week a do a 36 hour or longer fast. I also started out slowly... and just kept pushing my eating window further back. I also drink a lot of water, and do allow myself a small amount of hwc in my coffee and tea while I'm fasting. Good luck!

Thank you all for your info. I will put it to good use. I will keep doing the fast 16:8 and move on to 18:6. Must build tolerance first. :)
