Doing my weekly weigh in a day later that usual, as I just got back from a fun trip to the Bay Area full of friends and family. In spite of blowing well beyond my calories for three days in a row (though staying well within weekly calories) I am doing okay. I went back up to 14 minutes of HIIT per day, and will likely do the same this upcoming week. Right now during exercise is the only time I can breathe clearly. I become stopped up again as soon as I stop, though it is getting better. At least now that I have identified the culprit (adding nutritional yeast to my diet, to which I started reacting three weeks into the change, likely once I blew past the tolerance to incidental yeast (bread, vegetable bouillon) that made me think I was over my childhood yeast intolerance, when I couldn’t have yeasted bread without sniffling up within an hour of consumption), I can avoid it.
My sleep is really lousy though, mainly due to sinus discomfort, and was worse while I was away from home (my worst night away I got 4 hours of sleep, and averaged closer to six hours a night for the week instead of my usual 7+.
My measurements this week are a mixed bag. My hips back down to 43 inches exact of pre allergic reaction and exercise reset, but my tummy’s at 35 inches again. I am choosing to interpret this as swelling that will subside as I clear my system.
Good news bad news, at five pounds lighter, the sturdy pair of trousers I indulgently invested in at the beginning of December, anticipating years of good looking use, are starting to fit awkwardly loose even with the use of a belt (and I have now had two TSA pat downs in them because of that looseness), and have pocket and stitch detail placement such that they will be difficult to size down if it is possible at all, and the company closed in February, so I won’t have the option order a replacement pair when I reach a lower stable weight. A problem of success, so I will take it gladly, but I wish I had purchased the I might be able to wedge myself into there size instead of the guaranteed to fit my hips size. Hindsight. Sigh.
