My clothes are feeling bigger. I am happy and surprised by that. I have been working hard, enjoying my Grandchildren and de-cluttering when I have time. I have been on a year long quest to de-clutter my home. I have the book "Does this clutter make my butt look fat?" by Peter Walsh and I have to admit that while de-cluttering I have also been better about my food plan. Kind of like getting everything in order. I have been a collector of things for years, my Children are not interested in my collections and in fact do not collect things. When my Mom died and Dad wanted us to clean out the house, we all took their things because none of us (my sisters and brothers) wanted to part with anything. We thought we should divide it all up among us. The great memories are not in the things, they are in our hearts, so now I am ready to give up those things (most of them) to a charity for the benefit of someone else. I collected books and last year gave away 192 books to a charity (that was their count, I never counted them), and they were so glad to have them. I still have a wall, 3 full sections of books, but another group of them are going out this summer. But, I get the title of Peter Walsh's book. All this clutter was slowing me down, it is freeing to be rid of stuff, it makes life simpler. Less to clean around (I do not care much for housework) and more time for the activities in life that feed my soul.

So, today I straightened two closets in my garage, I enjoyed the day, it was beautiful, my Granddaughter enjoyed playing with the bubbles. I have several items for my next Goodwill trip and I can mark that off my list as done. In the process, I worked hard, really sweated, and got a pretty good work out. At the end of the day, everybody wins!!

Hope that all of you had a great day, sleep well tonight, tomorrow will bring its own challenges and rewards. I am looking forward to it!
