GF stole half my soup! Now I need to make more food ;-)

Looks good, is this Tofu in the soup....? Not quite a Tofu connoisseur yet. Only tried a handful of times and found it mediocre in the meals that were served to me at restaurants. Always thought about trying it again.... Anyway---great job on presenting!

Yep that's tofu. I didn't like it at first either, but after playing around with it I really started to enjoy it. My recommendation is to freeze it and then Marinade it before preparing it. The freezing will create a completely different texture and allow for the Marinade to soak right in. Tofu is a blank slate ready to take on flavors.

Looks tasty is that red cabbage and tofu .. do you make up from stock?

Do you have the recipe posted anywhere? I'm a vegetarian so this looks like something I could really enjoy.

Cate G: I do t really have a recipe, but I can give you an idea how I made it. I boiled hot water with ground ginger, onion, garlic and black pepper. I added a little soy sauce, rice vinegar and a couple table spoons of hoisson sauce. Oh and some hot sauce. From there I just tossed in some noodles and vegetables and tofu.

Love this! I dig the extra firm tofu for soups and salads. I flavor mine and I like the silky to float into spiced broths for that wispy feel like you get in Chinese restaurants.
